Foam in place packaging is sometimes referred to as packaging expanding foam, instant foam packaging, foam packing machines, foam in bag packaging, insta foam packaging, and instant foam packaging. All of these names refer back to the the general term, foam in place packaging. Foam in place polyurethane is molded in real-time through the combination of two liquid foams within a prefabricated mold, high density polyethylene bag or film. The mixture then expands rapidly around the product being protected, creating a custom protective shell around the productbeing packaged.
Fundamentally, foam in place packaging is a type of cushioning or blocking protective packaging that can be used across numerous applications.
Telemetry. Telemetry refers to the foam in place unit's ability to automatically collect, monitor and measure critical information, such as liquid foam and film usage, temperature, pressure, and other system guidelines each time the FIP equipment is operated. This technology continuously tracks all system parameters and sends a message to the field service technician if the equipment is reading a potential issue.
Through the use of telemetry, we are able to take a proactive approach to service, minimizing downtime and insuring proper system maintenance is performed for optimum productivity and consistent performance.
Barcoding. Barcoding is the second "smart" feature which enables operations with variousproduct lines to deliver consistent packaging protection. By setting up this process, you can ensure that your products are protected with the correct amount of liquid foam and film each time the system is used. This ensures:
